The third seminar in the series of specialized meetings organized by the Public Relations Association of East Azerbaijan Province took place on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Marand County Governor’s Office. This event, focused on “Artificial Intelligence and Its Applications in the Age of Innovation,” saw significant participation from communication, public relations, and media professionals in the city.
The presence of experts, leading journalists, and public relations managers from Marand’s governmental departments, alongside technology and communication enthusiasts, added to the significance and appeal of the discussions. Moreover, attendees from the neighboring towns of Shabestar, Osku, and Jolfa contributed to the scientific and professional depth of the seminar.
Speeches and Specialized Discussions
The event began with an opening speech by Davood Abbasi, Deputy Governor and Special Governor of Marand County, who emphasized the importance of public relations development and its role in advancing communication at administrative and managerial levels.
Following this, Khosro Rafiei, President of the Iranian Public Relations Association, delivered his remarks online, sharing insights into modern technologies and their applications in enhancing public relations. He discussed key points about innovation and communication management with the attendees.
Aboulghasem Hakimian, a board member of the Iranian Public Relations Association, analyzed the challenges and opportunities in the public relations field in smaller cities, stressing the importance of leveraging modern technologies to improve this area.
Vahid Kazemzadeh, a member of the Policy Council of the Public Relations Association of East Azerbaijan Province, presented a comprehensive report on the association’s activities and achievements over the past two years, emphasizing the association’s crucial role in advancing the professional development of public relations across the province.
Ibrahim Molaei, President of the Public Relations Association of East Azerbaijan Province and Executive Secretary of the 21st International Public Relations Conference of Iran, was the main speaker and instructor at the seminar. He conducted a thorough analysis of the role of artificial intelligence in transforming public relations and explained how this technology can be utilized to foster innovation and enhance organizational communication. Molaei highlighted AI as a modern tool for improving communication management and promoting greater transparency in public relations processes.
Recognition of Public Relations Professionals
In the closing ceremony, Ibrahim Molaei, together with Davood Abbasi and other officials present, honored the top public relations professionals of Marand County. Among those recognized were Mohammad Ghaffari, Public Relations Officer at the Agricultural Jihad Management of Marand County; Farzad Sadeghi, Public Relations Officer at the Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute’s Northwest Branch; and Nader Robati and Mirhamed Rahanjam, Public Relations Officers of the Marand County Governor’s Office, all of whom received certificates of appreciation for their outstanding contributions.
At the end of the program, a special plaque from Shahram Shafiei, Head of the Agricultural Jihad Organization of East Azerbaijan Province, was awarded to Ibrahim Molaei in recognition of his efforts in advancing public relations in the province.
This event, organized with the cooperation of the Marand County Governor’s Office and the Agricultural Jihad Organization of East Azerbaijan Province, provided an opportunity for experience exchange and learning about the latest technologies in public relations. The participants left the seminar with valuable insights.
Continuation of the Seminars
This series of specialized meetings had previously been held in Azarshahr and Malekan, and continued its course this time in Marand. Plans are underway to hold these seminars in other towns of East Azerbaijan Province, aiming to provide equal opportunities for the education and skill development of public relations professionals across the region. These educational events will be extended to ensure that all interested parties in the field can benefit from them.
